I hope to work alongside you to be your authentic self as you navigate the world.Dr Jen, the Psychology Haven
We all have a unique neurology and we all have strengths and difficulties.
You may be wondering whether you have ADHD or may be Autistic, and you may be looking back and making sense of yourself through the lens of neurodiversity.
Whether you have already been assessed, waiting to have an assessment, or just hoping to explore these thoughts more with a professional, I can help you to make sense of things through my experience of working with many Autistic individuals and individuals with ADHD.
You might experience differences in attention, sensory processing, communication, social interaction, organisation, emotional regulation or the way you respond to change.
These differences can sometimes become more difficult to manage when expectations at work, in relationships or in everyday life don’t fit with the way in which your brain works.
Therapy may involve exploring sensory needs, managing overwhelm, developing routines, understanding emotions, setting boundaries or finding ways to reduce the impact of masking.
I can adapt therapy to best suit the way in which you understand things, whether that is incorporating movement into sessions to aid processing, using different modalities to demonstrate concepts, or reducing sensory input.
I hope to work alongside you to be your authentic self as you navigate the world.
